The Guardian Angel Program

This program allows everyday people, such as yourself, to support homeless and desparately low income individuals. The support can be delivered over the phone or in person, and provides a homeless person with a name and number to call when they need somebody to talk to.

After you complete the registration process to become a Guardian Angel, a Hope In The Streets volunteer will share your name and preferred contact number with one or more individuals on the street. Since we work with the poor and homeless population on a regular basis, we can make every effort to match you up with a qualified homeless or desparately poor individual (your recipient) who we believe should not pose a safety risk to you and who can benefit from your involvement as their Guardian Angel.

At times your recipent may just want to talk, or they may need your wisdom and guidance to make better decisions now and in the future. They will know that you can offer a compassionate ear and a shoulder to lean on. If you decide to complete the application below, we will follow up with a phone call to discuss the program in more detail. We will also send you a Guardian Angel Starter Kit in the mail.

We will discuss this program with you in detail and then determine together whether or not the Guardian Angel program is a good fit for you.
